What is an Audio Chronicle?

An Audio Chronicle is the story of your life, told through interviews with you and selected friends and family. A series of interviews with you and a selection of your family, friends and colleagues will create an intimate audio portrait of the life experiences that made you who you are.

Lauren wanted to tell the story of her father, Robert. We met with Robert five times. We met with his wife, his two kids (including Lauren), his older brother, four of his oldest friends, and his secretary.

We recorded 15 hours of tape. We even visited the Stock Exchange floor where Robert used to work in his 20s, and we incorporated audio contributed by the family.

The end product was two hours of produced audio storytelling.

Jesse wanted to preserve the stories of his mother, Joann. He wanted to focus on her life growing up and in the early years of his life. We met with Joann on five separate occasions, along with her husband, ex-husband, her two oldest friends and of course, her son, Jesse.

Since every life is different, every Audio Chronicle is different. We will collaborate with you to identify the dynamic characters and stories from your life.

What is an Audio Wedding?

An Audio Wedding is a special remembrance of your wedding day. From the rehearsal through the reception, we interview a selected list of wedding party members and gather scene-building sound throughout the day. Some potential segments focus on the following:

  • Bride and bride’s mother at the salon
  • Parents of bride remembering their wedding day
  • Grooms thoughts as he waits for bride
  • Bride’s thoughts before she walks down the aisle
  • Family interactions during portrait photography
  • Friends and family at the reception

The final audio product will be approximately 30-45 minutes long. There is also an optional pairing of the audio with the wedding images on a DVD slideshow.

It was by far the most unique gift I’ve ever given.
It was a huge hit at her surprise party.
There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. It’s
an extraordinary gift that stands the test of time.
I was skeptical and not drawn to listen to it.
But I found myself so moved, actually overwhelmed.
It is an heirloom I’ll listen to many more times in my life.
It reminded me of who I am and how I am in the
world in ways that I can’t always see.
Everybody sat at the edge of their seats, just listening.
I can’t tell you how much I love it. I’ve listened to it over
and over again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
If you were me, you would know what it means to
feel infinitely wealthy. It was quite a shock to hear all of the lovely messages. The love and the friendship and the generosity, all poured into one single audio recording. I was paralyzed by all of it. I’m at work right now, and I was listening to it in my car on the way in. It has helped me have a much nicer day. We all deserve a gift this good.
I think it’s probably one of the most worthwhile
things that I have done. It’s something that is a
wonderful gift to your family, you friends, and
most of all to yourself. It’s very very meaningful.
I can’t even begin to put a value, less
than priceless, on the finished product.
It’s a treasure that is not only a gift for my father,
but a gift for me and everyone in my family. There
is no gift that you could purchase that could compare.
It’s really touching, it’s really raw.
It was the perfect thing to do as a tribute
to my dad. I would do this again in a heartbeat.
My husband is not usually an emotional person. But he was so touched, and so excited. It was really a wonderful experience giving him the card.
